What they don't teach you in Dental School!
When dentists go to dental school they are learning to be a dentist or a dental specialist with awesome dental skills. But are they taught how to run their practice once they open those doors? In the past, dental schools have taught the upcoming dental provider to learn all the clinical applications that each dentist will need to become a licensed doctor of dental surgery or DDS. I have searched out what the curriculum is that is mandatory for a dentist to run his own practice. Many have a couple of business classes required but I wonder if these are real world classes that will prepare that new dentist how to handle all the aspects of running their practice and building that practice to become successful.
