Meet Denise Ciardello

Denise Ciardello
Senior Consultant
Denise Ciardello had something special about her on the day of her teeth cleaning appointment years ago. Special enough for a visiting practice consultant to approach her at the front desk and offer her a job out of the blue. When Denise replied that she didn’t have any dental experience, the woman said she’d teach her everything she needed to know.
Fast forward to today, and Denise is co-founder of Global Team Solutions, a practice management consulting firm. A professional speaker and published author, her enthusiasm and knowledge about the dental profession has helped many dental teams. She brings experience, insight, and creativity into her management style, along with a sense of humor. In a profession that can cause anxiety in some dental employees, Denise’s consulting approach is to partner with doctors and team members to help them realize the dream of creating a thriving, successful practice.
Denise always knew she wanted to be an entrepreneur. And she built her business on the foundation of ethics and principles demonstrated by her father, who owned a successful construction company. Today she is a champion of change, and says the biggest challenge of working with practices is people who think they know it all or are resistant to trying new things. But the best part of Denise’s job are those moments when clients “get it,” those a-ha moments that can put a practice on the track to serious success.
Along with her talent for business, Denise has gained numerous distinctions in her industry. She is co-author of OMG! Office Management Guide, the “bible” used in training workshops. She is the past president of the Academy of Dental Management Consultants and a member of the National Speakers Association, Toastmasters International, and Directory of Dental Speakers.
Denise enjoys spending her precious free time with her family. She also loves to read, shop and work in her yard, which is situated in the beautiful Texas hill country. She can be reached at: Denise@GTSgurus.com.
“Thanks so much for your informative and fun training! I enjoyed the interaction with all.
You brought out the best in all of us. You are truly the gurus of training!”

Customer service is the first step in effective marketing. The dental team has the opportunity to create value before the patient walks through the door.
Every business has a culture and dental offices are no different. The culture defines whether the office is patient, time or technology focused along with a sense of negativity or an attitude of joy. The standards and values of the team is apparent to a patient as soon as the phone is answered.
When the emphasis of the practice is placed on exceptional patient care, the team becomes an asset that will continue to grow over time. Denise can show you the significance of creating greater patient satisfaction through a total team approach and teach techniques for creating a practice environment that generates raving fans who happily refer.

Denise’s Practice Management Tips
DO:
Communicate constantly with the doctor to determine their philosophy and vision for the practice. Remember you are there to fulfill their dream of providing excellent patient care.
DON’T:
Try to be BFFs with the rest of the team. Nine times out of 10, it will cause problems. Office managers need to lead.
