Meet Janice Janssen
Janice Janssen, RDH, CFE
Senior Consultant
At age 14, Janice Janssen got an after-school job working for her dentist. Little did she know how that choice would determine the course of her future. Twenty-something years later, she is the co-founder of Global Team Solutions and an expert in dental practice consulting.
When it comes to working at a dental practice, Janice has seen and done it all. Since her introduction into the field as a teen, she has enjoyed a long career as a dental hygienist and served—and excelled—in many other roles including office management, insurance billing, and collections.
For Janice, the best thing about working in a dental practice is facing the unknown—never knowing what the day is going to hold. She says that can also be the most frustrating thing about it, too. But thanks to her clinical expertise and well-rounded management experience, she has learned to meet every challenge with grace, including the patient who once insisted on clipping her toenails while in the dentist’s chair.
Now Janice enjoys consulting because it allows her to share her techniques with the doctors, hygienists, and office staff who are on the front line every day. Her zeal for a proven successful periodontal program makes her a real asset to her clients across the country.
Besides hands-on experience, Janice has gained professional recognition for her hard work and commitment to excellence. She is co-author of OMG! Office Management Guide, the “bible” used in GTS training workshops. She is a member and former Treasurer of the Academy of Dental Management Consultants (ADMC), and is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), which positions her as an expert in educating dentists to deter fraud and embezzlement in their practice.
In her (rare) spare time, Janice enjoys spending time with family and watching her children play soccer in her hometown of St. Louis, Missouri. She can be reached at: Janice@GTSGurus.com.
“We were referred to Janice and her team to help us investigate a potential embezzlement scheme. They were professional and knew what they were doing. Through their efforts, we were able to settle with our insurance company and recoup a great deal of what we had lost.”
—Dr. M. Drennan, DDS

Fraud or embezzlement occurs in 3 out of 5 dental offices. We are likely to see these odds increase given the state of the U.S. economy. It CAN happen to you.
